Hunter who competed in the U16s category. Our senior girls and boys were in action at an invitational mixed doubles event at Bradfield. The pairs consisted of Boo Haigh and JJ Orr-Ewing and Tessa Challis and Will Deslandes. Both pairs played some great tennis in tricky weather conditions. Boo and JJ finished in 5th place, with the winning pair commenting that they had been their toughest opponents in a very strong field. Tessa and Will came in 8th out of 16 pairs. Junior Tennis It has been a challenging season in some of the junior age categories. However, I have been really pleased with the development of so many players and feel confident we will continue to strengthen in the

Senior Tennis The senior boys had another successful season under the captaincy of Zac Orr Ewing. One of our standout victories came early in the Summer Term against a very strong Bradfield team - Teddies came out on top with a superb 5-4 win. Despite not having Arthur Manson, Zac, or JJ Orr Ewing on the day, the Lower Sixth boys did well at the MCS invitational, where there is a very high standard of competition. Will Deslandes and Mikhail Myachin both made the cut to be in the top half of the draw which is no mean feat, with Osca Henderson and Tom Perez just missing out. The senior boys scored further wins during the season against Rugby, Bloxham and Marlborough.

The senior girls, captained by Boo Haigh, also had a good campaign despite having some key pupils missing during the season. They celebrated excellent victories over MCS, d’Overbroeck’s, Tudor Hall and Oxford High. Millie Tan in the Fourth Form seized the opportunity to become a regular on the senior 1st team, playing in the top pair. Millie played superbly and looked completely at home among the seniors - she has a very bright tennis future ahead of her here at Teddies. The senior girls also competed at the Queenswood LTA U18 School Nationals. Boo Haigh and Tessa Challis just missed out on making the final cut for the semi-finals, losing on a final tie breaker. Phoebe West and Martha Withers Green managed to secure a win as did Millie Tan and Romy
