Protecting the planet is a lifetime’s work Seed Guardians at The North Wall by Dr Jonathan Roscoe, Marketing Manager, The North Wall Oxford-based theatre company, Mandala, are bringing their latest production, Seed Guardians to The North Wall in October. The play follows Zahra and her two friends as they take up the cause of her grandmother, Leilani Mahachi, currently fighting for her life in a UK hospital far from her homestead in Zimbabwe. The three unlikely friends travel from a food bank to Parliament Square to lead the fight against the greed and profiteering of the powerful corporate food companies who ‘own’ the seeds, and

who control production and the right to food. Mandala is an ethnically-diverse-led company that aims to create theatre with social justice at its heart and Seed Guardians promises to be the latest in a series of compelling, thought provoking works. The North Wall can’t wait to welcome them onto our stage.

Gaffa Tapes 15th November 8.00pm In his time Mark Thomas has won numerous awards, forced a politician to resign, changed laws on tax and protest, become Guinness Book of Records world record holder for number of protests in 24 hours, taken the police to court three times and won, walked the length of the Israeli Wall in the West Bank and generally mucked about trying to have fun and annoy the right people. His show Gaffa Tapes is more of the same.

Best known for starring in 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown , Have I Got News For You and QI , and for hosting Live at the Apollo , Kiri Pritchard-McLean is not just a comedian. Not many people know that she is also a foster parent. Peacock lifts the lid on social workers, first aid training and what not to do when a vicar searches for you on YouTube. The Guardian said that she is known for her ability to make “powerhouse stand up from the thorniest of subjects” and Peacock is no exception.
