Joey Feather In my view, decisions regarding the display of the heads should be made by those of the same culture. If it is deemed disrespectful to their ancestors to have their remains on show, they should be kept away from the public eye. Lucy Farrer-Brown I believe that the Pitt Rivers Museum did the right thing. The fact that people were mainly going to see the shrunken heads because they looked ‘strange’ meant that visitors did not fully understand the cultural origins and reasoning behind their display. In order for people to understand, they need access to a better explanation than a simple museum display can provide.
