24 ST EDWARD’S CHRONICLE

Stronger Together

Whether in School or in our local community, partnerships and shared endeavour are a big part of the Teddies ethos. In the following pages we catch up with friends old and new to learn more about the impact of our partnership projects.

Friends and Neighbours ‘A local partnership seeking the good of the local community’, is how Tom Murray, Curate at St Andrew’s Church in Linton Rd, describes the Cutteslowe Community Partnership. We have been pleased to partner with this socially and economically diverse area of North Oxford on a number of occasions recently. Last year, we collected unused

laptops, wiped them, and gave them to children who had no means of accessing online learning at their primary school. Before Christmas, our wonderful Head Chef Ralph Wiskin and his team donated 150 Christmas dinners for Tom’s parishioners, which were delivered to many within the community who greatly appreciated them. This year, we hope to find more ways in which we can work alongside the Cutteslowe community, which is a stone’s throw from St Edward’s.

An Oxford University Hospitals spokesperson said, 'We are grateful to a number of local businesses, including St Edward's, who made accommodation available to our staff at

short notice which in turn helped us to continue delivering a vital service to patients at the height of the pandemic.'
